This blog initially existed to help you understand your relationship with money, and to give you some tools that might actually empower you to unblock your money obstacles. Well, that didn’t happen:). Turns out that I just wanted to write about whatever felt right to write about. Got that? While I am a financial services professional, I’m also a human. With lots of human stuff to work through. And apparently that’s more important to me right now.
I changed the blog title to “Open Heart Adventure” because I practice Buddhism and it’s all about having an open heart. And I’m all about adventures. I turned 34 this past September 2009, and was ready for a new adventure. I’m chronicling it here in my blog and working hard on taking good care of myself. No other agenda than to feel better and live on purpose. That’s my intention for this year, and this blog is where I’ll share. Probably too much.
Would love to have you along!!
Okay, about me. I guess that’s the point of this page. You already know my age, so what else?? I have been in finance for about 7 years now and decided to quit my job as a partner with a money management firm to live in France in 2008. That was really the start of my open heart adventure. Now I’m back in the US, a certified Martha Beck Coach, and wanting the adventure to continue… Would love it if you joined me!
I read the posts on your blog and I like the approach you take towards money: focusing on our thoughts. It makes me feel more empowered and excited to change the relationship that I have with my finances in general at this point. I feel that it is in my hands to make a change – I feel that I can do it! Thanks for your inspiring words!
Seems like we have some things in common. I am in the midst of the Martha Beck life coach course, left investment management after too many years and am now having a blast keeping my heart opened and my eyes opened wide for opportunities. I am having a blast……
Love, love, love your blog Carrie! You have a very engaging and relatable writing style. What a special gift!
Thanks Linda:). I love, love, love writing it!
